Snoopy with Heart Balloon Crochet Pattern

Materials:

• Yarn: White, black, red, and pink (cotton or acrylic)
• Hook: 3.0 mm crochet hook
• Polyfill stuffing
• 6 mm safety eyes
• Wire (for balloon string)
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Abbreviations:

• MR: Magic ring
• sc: Single crochet
• inc: Increase (2 sc in the same stitch)
• dec: Decrease (sc two stitches together)
• ch: Chain
• sl st: Slip stitch

Snoopy’s Head:

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Round 2: Inc in each stitch around. (12)
3. Round 3: [1 sc, inc] repeat around. (18)
4. Round 4: [2 sc, inc] repeat around. (24)
5. Round 5-8: Sc around. (24)
6. Round 9: [2 sc, dec] repeat around. (18)
7. Round 10: [1 sc, dec] repeat around. (12)
8. Round 11: Dec around. (6)
   • Stuff firmly with polyfill.
   • Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Body:

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Round 2: Inc in each stitch around. (12)
3. Round 3: [1 sc, inc] repeat around. (18)
4. Round 4-6: Sc around. (18)
5. Round 7: [1 sc, dec] repeat around. (12)
6. Round 8: Dec around. (6)
   • Stuff with polyfill and fasten off.

Ears (Make 2):

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Round 2-4: Sc around. (6)
   • Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Legs and Arms (Make 4):

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Round 2-3: Sc around. (6)
   • Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Heart Balloon:

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Round 2: Inc in each stitch around. (12)
3. Round 3: [1 sc, inc] repeat around. (18)
4. Round 4: Sc around. (18)
5. Round 5: [1 sc, dec] repeat around. (12)
6. Round 6: Dec around. (6)
   • Stuff with polyfill and shape into a heart. Attach to a wire or yarn string.

Assembly:

1. Attach the ears to Snoopy’s head.
2. Sew the head to the body.
3. Attach the arms and legs.
4. Insert safety eyes and embroider Snoopy’s nose and smile.
5. Secure the heart balloon string to Snoopy’s hand.
