Santa Claus Crochet Keychain Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Cotton yarn: skin tone, red, white, green
• Small amount of black yarn for smile
• 2 safety eyes (6mm)
• Crochet hook (2.5mm or suitable size)
• Fiberfill for stuffing

• Keyring
• Small pom-pom maker or white yarn for pom-pom

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Santa’s Head:

• With skin-tone yarn:
  • Magic ring, chain 1.
  • R1: 6 SC into the ring.
  • R2: Inc around (12 SC).
  • R3: (SC, Inc) around (18 SC).
  • R4-R6: SC around (18 SC).
  • R7: (SC, Dec) around (12 SC).
  • Insert safety eyes between Rows 4 and 5, about 3 stitches apart.
  • R8: Dec around (6 SC), fasten off, and stuff.

2. Beard:

• With white yarn:
  • Attach yarn at the bottom of the head. Chain 8, then work in the same chain as follows: (SC, HDC, DC, DC, HDC, SC), slip stitch to secure. Repeat this process around the lower half of the head to form a curly beard.

3. Santa’s Hat:

• With red yarn:
  • Magic ring, chain 1.
  • R1: 4 SC into the ring.
  • R2: (SC, Inc) around (6 SC).
  • R3: SC around.
  • R4: (SC, Inc) around (9 SC).
  • Continue increasing every 2-3 rows until the hat fits the top of the head. Fasten off and sew to the head.

4. Pom-Pom and Holly:

• Create a small pom-pom using white yarn and attach it to the tip of the hat.
