Owl Crochet Pillow Pattern

Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn in various colors (brown, white, pink, blue, green, orange, and black)
• Crochet hook (4 mm)
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Tapestry needle

Abbreviations:

• MR: Magic ring
• SC: Single crochet
• DC: Double crochet
• INC: Increase (2 SC in the same stitch)
• DEC: Decrease (2 SC together)
• SL ST: Slip stitch

Pattern:

Pillow Base (Make 2):

1. R1: Using brown yarn, make a chain of 45 stitches. SC in each stitch across. (45)
2. R2-R50: SC in each stitch across to create a square. (45)
3. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Eyes (Make 2):

1. R1: Using white yarn, make a MR and 6 SC. (6)
2. R2: INC in each stitch around. (12)
3. R3: (SC, INC) repeat around. (18)
4. R4: (2 SC, INC) repeat around. (24)
5. Attach black yarn and create a small circle in the center for the pupils.
6. Fasten off and sew the eyes onto one of the pillow bases.

Beak:

1. With orange yarn, CH 3.
2. Slip stitch along the chain and attach it below the eyes to form the beak.

Wings (Make 2):

1. R1: Using blue yarn, make a MR and 6 SC. (6)
2. R2: (SC, INC) repeat around. (9)
3. R3: Change colors as desired for the feathered effect and SC in each stitch around.
4. Fasten off and sew wings on each side of the pillow.

Assembly:

1. Place the two pillow bases together with the owl design facing outward.
2. SC around the edges, leaving a small gap.
3. Stuff with fiberfill and close the gap with SC.
