Mario Santa Claus Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

Materials:

• Red, white, black, and beige yarn.
• Brown and grey yarn for details.
• 2.5mm crochet hook.
• Fiberfill stuffing.
• Black safety eyes (6mm).
• Black embroidery thread for mouth and mustache.
• Small bell or button for decoration.
• Yarn needle.
• Keychain ring (optional).

Stitches Used:

• Magic ring (MR)
• Chain (CH)
• Single Crochet (SC)
• Increase (INC)
• Decrease (DEC)
• Slip Stitch (SL ST)

Instructions:

Step 1: Head (Beige Yarn)

1. Start with a magic ring.
2. Round 1: 6 SC into MR.
3. Round 2: INC in each stitch (12 SC).
4. Round 3: SC, INC around (18 SC).
5. Round 4-6: SC around (18 SC).
6. Round 7: SC, DEC around (12 SC).
7. Add safety eyes between Rounds 4-5.
8. Stuff the head, finish with DEC (6 SC), and fasten off.

Step 2: Body (Red Yarn)

1. MR with 6 SC.
2. Round 2: INC in each stitch (12 SC).
3. Round 3: SC, INC around (18 SC).
4. Round 4-6: SC around (18 SC).
5. Round 7: DEC around (12 SC).
6. Fasten off, stuff, and attach to the head.

Step 3: Arms (Red Yarn, Make 2)

1. MR with 6 SC.
2. Round 2: SC around (6 SC).
3. Stuff lightly and fasten off, then attach to the sides of the body.

Step 4: Legs (Grey Yarn, Make 2)

1. MR with 6 SC.
2. Round 2: SC around (6 SC).
3. Stuff lightly and attach to the bottom of the body.

Step 5: Hat (Red and White Yarn)

1. Start with red yarn in a MR.
2. Round 1: 6 SC.
3. Round 2: SC, INC (9 SC).
4. Continue increasing until you reach 18 SC.
5. Switch to white yarn for the brim and SC 2 rounds.
6. Fasten off and sew the hat to the top of Santa’s head.

Step 6: Mustache (Brown Yarn)

1. Use brown yarn and embroider a curly mustache between the eyes.
2. Embroider a small smile below the mustache.

Step 7: Candy Cane (Red and White Yarn)

1. CH 15 alternating colors, SC along the chain.
2. Curl it into the shape of a candy cane and sew it to Santa’s hand.

Step 8: Gift Bag (Red Yarn)

1. MR with 6 SC.
2. Round 2: INC in each stitch (12 SC).
3. Round 3-5: SC around.
4. Fasten off, close the top, and add green yarn to make holly leaves for decoration.

Step 9: Attach the Keychain

1. If using this amigurumi as a keychain, securely attach the keychain ring to the top of the Santa hat.
