Crochet Pattern for Hula Chicken Amigurumi

Materials Needed:

• Yarn: Beige, red, yellow, green, blue, and multicolored yarn for the tail and lei
• Crochet hook: 2.5–3 mm
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Safety eyes (10 mm)
• Tapestry needle

Steps for the Chicken Body

1. Body and Head:
   • Start with beige yarn.
   • Round 1: 6 SC in a magic ring.
   • Round 2: INC in each stitch (12 SC).
   • Round 3: (SC, INC) around (18 SC).
   • Continue increasing evenly until you reach 36 SC.
   • Work evenly for 10 rounds for the body, then decrease evenly to close.
   • For the head, repeat the same process but reduce the height to 6 rounds.
2. Comb and Wattle:
   • Comb: Use red yarn. Chain 6, work back with SC and DC in each stitch for a scalloped effect. Sew to the head.
   • Wattle: With red yarn, chain 3, slip stitch into the first chain to form a loop. Make two and attach below the beak.

Steps for Wings and Tail

1. Wings (Make 2):
   • Beige yarn: Chain 6, SC along, and add a slight curve by increasing in the middle.
   • Sew to the body sides.
2. Tail Feathers:
   • Use multicolored yarn. Create 4–5 feathers by chaining 15–20, working back with SC, HDC, and DC for thickness. Attach in a fan shape to the back of the body.

Hula Accessories

1. Hula Skirt:
   • Use green yarn. Chain a band that fits around the chicken’s waist. Attach strands of yarn to create a fringed skirt.
2. Flower Lei:
   • Use multicolored yarn. Make small flowers by chaining 4, forming a ring, and working petals into the ring. String flowers together and place around the neck.
