Recipe: Crochet Snowman Ornament Pattern

Materials Needed:

• White, gray, red, blue, and orange yarn
• Crochet hook (3.5mm or size suitable for your yarn)
• Polyfill stuffing
• Safety eyes (6-8mm)
• Black embroidery thread for details
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Instructions:

Body:

1. Round 1: Create a magic ring, 6 single crochets (SC) into the ring.
2. Round 2: Increase in each stitch (12 stitches).
3. Round 3: SC in next stitch, increase around (18 stitches).
4. Round 4: SC in next 2 stitches, increase around (24 stitches).
5. Rounds 5-10: SC in each stitch (24 stitches).
6. Round 11: SC in next 2 stitches, decrease around (18 stitches).
7. Round 12: SC in next stitch, decrease around (12 stitches). Stuff as you go.
8. Round 13: Decrease in each stitch (6 stitches). Fasten off and close.

Head:
Repeat the same steps as the body, making it slightly smaller by stopping at 18 stitches in circumference.

Arms (Make 2):

1. Round 1: Magic ring, 6 SC into the ring.
2. Rounds 2-5: SC in each stitch around (6 stitches).
3. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Hat:

1. Round 1: Magic ring, 6 SC into the ring.
2. Round 2: Increase in each stitch (12 stitches).
3. Round 3: SC in next stitch, increase around (18 stitches).
4. Round 4: SC in each stitch around.
5. Change colors to add a brim and SC in back loops only for one round. Fasten off.

Scarf:

1. Chain 40 (or desired length).
2. SC in each chain across.
3. Fasten off and attach around the neck.

Carrot Nose:

1. Chain 4.
2. Turn and SC back into each chain, tapering to a point. Fasten off and sew onto the face.

Assembly:

1. Sew the head to the body.
2. Attach the arms to the sides.
3. Embroider a smile and add the safety eyes.
4. Add the hat and scarf.
5. Create a hanging loop with yarn and attach it to the top of the hat.
