Recipe: Crochet Santa Pillow Pattern

Materials:

• Red yarn (hat)
• White yarn (beard and pom-pom)
• Black yarn (eyes, optional for details)
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Crochet hook: 4.5 mm
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers

Instructions:

1. Base Triangle (Santa’s Face and Hat):
   • Use red yarn. Start with a magic ring and chain 3.
   • Work double crochet (DC) in the ring and increase each row to form a triangle shape. Continue until the triangle measures about 18 inches on each side.
2. Beard:
   • Switch to white yarn. Attach it to the base of the triangle.
   • Use loop stitches (yarn over your finger, then pull through) to create a textured beard effect. Work in rows until the beard reaches the desired length.
3. Hat Trim:
   • With white yarn, work single crochets (SC) across the base of the hat (above the beard) to create a fluffy trim.
4. Pom-Pom:
   • Use white yarn to make a pom-pom. Attach it securely to the tip of the red hat.
5. Eyes and Nose:
   • For the eyes, use black yarn or attach small felt circles.
   • For the nose, crochet a small red ball: make a magic ring, work 6 SC in the ring, increase, and then decrease to close. Attach below the eyes.
6. Assembly:
   • Crochet or sew two identical triangles together, leaving an opening for stuffing.
   • Stuff with fiberfill and close the seam.
