Recipe: Crochet Owl Keychain Pattern

Materials:

• Light blue, white, black, orange, and red yarn (weight 3 or 4)
• 3.0 mm crochet hook
• Safety eyes (8 mm)
• Keychain ring
• Yarn needle
• Fiberfill stuffing

Instructions:

1. Body:
   • Start with light blue yarn.
   • Round 1: Create a magic ring with 6 SC.
   • Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around (12 SC).
   • Round 3: [SC in next stitch, 2 SC in next] repeat around (18 SC).
   • Rounds 4-8: SC in each stitch around (18 SC per round).
   • Switch to black yarn for the base of the owl and work 2 more rounds of SC.
   • Begin decreasing: [SC in next stitch, SC2tog] repeat around.
   • Stuff with fiberfill before closing the base.
2. Eyes (make 2):
   • Using white yarn, make a magic ring.
   • Round 1: 6 SC into the ring.
   • Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around (12 SC).
   • Attach safety eyes in the center.
   • Sew the eyes onto the top of the body.
3. Beak:
   • Using orange yarn, chain 4.
   • SC across, then fasten off leaving a tail.
   • Sew the beak between the eyes.
4. Wings (make 2):
   • Using black yarn, chain 6.
   • Work SC into each chain, turn, and SC again.
   • Attach the wings to each side of the body.
5. Feet (make 2):
   • With orange yarn, create two small round feet by SC around 4 stitches and sewing them at the base.
6. Scarf:
   • Using red and yellow yarn, alternate 2 SC rows of each color.
   • Make a small rectangular piece and wrap it around the owl’s neck, securing it with stitches.
7. Antennae:
   • Using black yarn, chain 5 for each antenna.
   • Attach them to the top of the owl’s head.
8. Assembly:
   • Sew all pieces securely.
   • Attach the keychain ring to the top of the owl.
