Crochet Owl Keychain Inspired by Harry Potter

Materials Needed:

• Yarn: Brown (for the body), white (for the belly and face), orange (for feet and beak), red and yellow (for Gryffindor scarf)
• Crochet hook (3.5mm or suitable for your yarn)
• Safety eyes (8mm)
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Keychain ring
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Instructions:

1. Owl Body:
   • Round 1: In brown yarn, make a magic ring and 6 single crochets (sc) into the ring.
   • Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch (12 stitches).
   • Round 3: 1 sc in next stitch, 2 sc in the next (18 stitches).
   • Round 4-7: Sc around (18 stitches).
   • Round 8: Switch to white yarn for the belly and sc around for 4 rounds.
   • Round 9: 1 sc in next stitch, decrease (12 stitches).
   • Round 10: Decrease in each stitch (6 stitches), stuff, and fasten off.
2. Owl Eyes:
   • In white yarn, create two circles by making a magic ring and 6 sc, increasing to 12 stitches. Attach safety eyes to the center and sew the eyes to the face.
3. Owl Beak:
   • In orange yarn, create a small triangle shape by chaining 4 and sc back. Attach the beak between the eyes.
4. Owl Feet:
   • Make two small feet in orange yarn by chaining 3 and working 3 sc. Sew them to the bottom of the body.
5. Gryffindor Scarf:
   • Using red and yellow yarn, chain 40 and alternate rows with the two colors. Wrap the scarf around the owl’s neck and secure it.
6. Keychain Attachment:
   • Attach the keychain ring to the top of the owl’s head or side for easy attachment to your bags or keys.
