Crochet Heart Dog Pattern

Materials:

• Yarn: Blue or any color of choice (soft, chunky yarn recommended)
• Hook: 5.0 mm crochet hook
• Eyes: 10 mm safety eyes
• Stuffing: Polyester fiberfill
• Extras: Black embroidery thread, yarn needle

Abbreviations:

• MR: Magic ring
• sc: Single crochet
• inc: Increase (2 sc in 1 stitch)
• dec: Decrease (single crochet two stitches together)
• sl st: Slip stitch

Heart Body:

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Round 2: inc in each stitch around. (12)
3. Round 3: (sc, inc) around. (18)
4. Round 4: (2 sc, inc) around. (24)
5. Rounds 5-7: sc around. (24)

Make two halves of the heart and join them:

1. Place the two halves side by side and sc around, joining them into a heart shape.
2. Continue crocheting in the round, shaping the lower point of the heart by decreasing evenly at the edges.
3. Stuff as you go.

Dog Ears:

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Round 2: (sc, inc) around. (9)
3. Rounds 3-5: sc around. (9)
4. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing. Make two ears.

Tail:

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Rounds 2-5: sc around. (6)
3. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Assembly:

1. Attach the safety eyes near the top of the heart.
2. Embroider the nose and mouth in the center.
3. Sew the ears to each side of the top of the heart.
4. Attach the tail to the back of the heart.
