Recipe: Crochet Flower Keychain with Bumblebee Charm

Materials:

• Various colors of yarn (for petals, center, and bee)
• 3.0 mm crochet hook
• Keychain ring with clip
• Safety eyes (optional)
• Yarn needle
• Fiberfill stuffing

Instructions:

1. Flower Center:
   • With yellow yarn, make a magic ring.
   • Round 1: 6 SC into the ring.
   • Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around (12 SC).
   • Round 3: [SC in next stitch, 2 SC in next] repeat around (18 SC).
   • Rounds 4-5: SC in each stitch around.
   • Finish off, stuff with fiberfill, and sew closed.
2. Petals (make multiple in different colors):
   • Start with a magic ring using the chosen petal color.
   • Round 1: 6 SC into the ring.
   • Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around (12 SC).
   • Round 3: [SC in next stitch, 2 SC in next] repeat around (18 SC).
   • Work several rounds, increasing stitches as needed to create larger petals.
   • Repeat for different colored layers, attaching each layer of petals to the flower center.
3. Bumblebee Charm:
   • Body:
     • With yellow yarn, make a magic ring.
     • Round 1: 6 SC into the ring.
     • Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch (12 SC).
     • Change to black yarn and SC 2 rounds.
     • Switch back to yellow yarn and repeat rounds of SC until desired length.
     • Stuff with fiberfill, close the bottom.
   • Wings (make 2):
     • With white yarn, chain 4 and SC around, creating a small oval.
     • Sew wings onto the top of the bee.
   • Attach safety eyes and embroider a small smile on the bee’s face.
4. Assembly:
