Crochet Duck Tutorial (No Sewing!)

Crochet Duck Pattern

Materials:

• Yarn:
  • Yellow (body and wings)
  • Orange (beak)
• Hook: 3.0 mm crochet hook
• Stuffing: Polyester fiberfill
• Extras: Safety eyes (8 mm), yarn needle, scissors

Abbreviations:

• MR: Magic ring
• ch: Chain
• sc: Single crochet
• inc: Increase (2 stitches in 1 stitch)
• dec: Decrease
• sl st: Slip stitch

Head and Body (Yellow Yarn):

1. Round 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
2. Round 2: Inc in each st. (12)
3. Round 3: 1 sc, inc around. (18)
4. Round 4: 2 sc, inc around. (24)
5. Round 5-10: Sc in each st. (24)
6. Round 11: 2 sc, dec around. (18)
7. Round 12: 1 sc, dec around. (12)
8. Round 13: Inc in each st. (24)
9. Round 14-18: Sc in each st. (24)
10. Round 19: 2 sc, dec around. (18)
11. Round 20: 1 sc, dec around. (12)
12. Round 21: Dec around. (6)
13. Fasten off and close the opening. Stuff as you go.

Wings (Make 2 – Yellow Yarn):

1. Round 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
2. Round 2: 1 sc, inc around. (9)
3. Round 3: Sc in each st. (9)
4. Fasten off and sew to the sides of the body.

Beak (Orange Yarn):

1. Round 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
2. Round 2: 1 sc, inc around. (9)
3. Round 3: Sc in each st. (9)
4. Flatten the beak and sew it to the front of the head.

Face:

• Attach safety eyes between Rounds 3 and 4 of the head.
