Crochet Christmas Baby Booties Pattern

Materials:

• White, red, green, and black worsted weight yarn.
• 3.5mm crochet hook.
• Yarn needle.
• Small buttons for eyes (or safety eyes).
• Ribbon for decoration.
• Fiberfill for snowman’s body.

Stitches Used:

• Chain (CH)
• Single Crochet (SC)
• Half Double Crochet (HDC)
• Double Crochet (DC)
• Slip Stitch (SL ST)
• Increase (INC)

Instructions:

Step 1: Sole

1. Start with green yarn and CH 12.
2. Row 1: SC in the second CH from the hook and across (11 SC).
3. Row 2: SC around the edges to create a sole shape, adding 2 SC in each corner for rounded edges (14 SC).
4. Continue working SC in rounds for the next 4 rows, creating the base of the bootie.

Step 2: Bootie Body

1. Switch to white yarn. SC in each stitch around for 5 rounds to create the bootie sides.
2. Row 6: Work 2 rounds of HDC to shape the top edge.
3. Switch to red yarn and work 3 rounds of SC for the cuff.

Step 3: Snowman Decoration

1. Use white yarn to create a small circle for the snowman’s head: CH 2, 6 SC in the first CH, SL ST to close. Continue working 2 rounds of SC to enlarge the circle.
2. Create a second, larger circle for the snowman’s body, repeating the same steps but with an additional round.
3. Use black yarn to embroider or attach buttons for the eyes and mouth, and use orange yarn to stitch a small carrot nose.
4. Attach the snowman body and head to the front of the bootie with a yarn needle.

Step 4: Holly Leaves

1. With green yarn, CH 8.
2. SC, HDC, DC in the second CH from the hook to create a leaf shape, then mirror the shape on the opposite side.
3. Create 2-3 leaves and attach them to the side of the bootie.
4. Use red yarn to create small berries with a magic circle and attach them to the leaves.

Step 5: Finishing Touches

1. Add a festive ribbon bow at the base of the holly leaves.
2. Weave in any loose ends and trim the yarn.
