Crochet Cat Keychain Pattern

Materials:

• Yarn: Sport or DK weight yarn in your chosen colors (main body, nose, and accents)
• Hook: 3.0 mm crochet hook
• Stuffing: Polyester fiberfill
• Keyring and chain
• Yarn needle
• Safety eyes: 8 mm (optional)
• Pink embroidery thread (for facial details)

Abbreviations:

• MR: Magic ring
• sc: Single crochet
• inc: Increase (2 sc in the same stitch)
• dec: Decrease (sc2tog)
• sl st: Slip stitch

Instructions:

Head and Body (One Piece):

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Round 2: Inc in each stitch around. (12)
3. Round 3: [1 sc, inc] repeat around. (18)
4. Round 4: [2 sc, inc] repeat around. (24)
5. Rounds 5-7: Sc in each stitch around. (24)
6. Round 8: [2 sc, dec] repeat around. (18)
   • Attach safety eyes between Rounds 4 and 5, about 6 stitches apart.
   • Embroider the nose and whiskers below the eyes.
7. Round 9: [1 sc, dec] repeat around. (12)
   • Stuff firmly.
8. Round 10: Dec around. (6)
   • Fasten off and close the opening with a yarn needle.

Ears (Make 2):

1. Round 1: MR, 4 sc into the ring. (4)
2. Round 2: [1 sc, inc] repeat around. (6)
   • Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
   • Sew the ears to the top of the head.

Tail:

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Rounds 2-4: Sc in each stitch around. (6)
   • Fasten off and sew the tail to the back of the body.

Attaching the Keyring:

• Insert the keyring chain through the top of the head using a yarn needle.
• Secure it by tying a knot inside the head and hiding it with stuffing.
