Crochet Bee and Flower Keychain

Detailed Recipe

Materials Needed:

• Yarn: Yellow (for the bee body), black (for bee stripes), white (for wings), various colors (for the flower petals and center)
• Crochet hook (3.5mm or suitable for your yarn)
• Safety eyes (6mm for the bee)
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Keychain ring
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Instructions:

1. Bee Body:
   • Round 1: In yellow yarn, make a magic ring and 6 single crochets (sc) into the ring.
   • Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch (12 stitches).
   • Round 3: 1 sc in next stitch, 2 sc in the next (18 stitches).
   • Round 4-6: Sc around (18 stitches).
   • Round 7: Switch to black yarn and sc around for 2 rounds.
   • Round 8-9: Switch back to yellow yarn and sc around (18 stitches).
   • Round 10: 1 sc in next stitch, decrease (12 stitches).
   • Round 11: Decrease in each stitch (6 stitches), stuff, and fasten off.
2. Bee Wings (Make 2):
   • Round 1: In white yarn, chain 6, sc in second chain from hook and across (5 sc).
   • Round 2: Chain 1, turn, 2 sc in the first stitch, sc across, 2 sc in the last stitch (7 sc).
   • Fasten off and attach the wings to the back of the bee.
3. Bee Antennae:
   • Using black yarn, chain 6, fasten off, and sew both antennae onto the top of the bee’s head.
4. Flower:
   • Round 1: In the color for the flower center, make a magic ring and 6 sc into the ring.
   • Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch (12 stitches), change to petal color.
   • Round 3: Chain 3, skip 1 stitch, slip stitch into the next stitch around to form the petals.
   • Fasten off and sew the flower to the back of the bee.
5. Keychain Attachment:
   • Sew or attach the keychain ring to the top of the flower.
