Crochet Baby Booties Recipe

Materials:

• Soft cotton yarn in several colors (main color for the booties and different colors for flowers and leaves)
• Crochet hook size 3.5mm (E-4)
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Stitches used:

• Chain (CH)
• Single Crochet (SC)
• Double Crochet (DC)
• Slip Stitch (SL ST)
• Magic Ring (MR)

Instructions:

Step 1: Sole

1. Make a magic ring, CH 10.
2. SC in the second CH from the hook and in each CH across, 3 SC in the last CH.
3. Continue working on the opposite side of the CH, 1 SC in each stitch, 2 SC in the last stitch.
4. Join with a SL ST, CH 1.
5. In the next round, SC around, making 2 SC in each corner stitch to shape the oval.
6. Repeat for 2 more rounds, always increasing at the corners.

Step 2: Upper Part

1. SC around the sole for the first row, join with a SL ST.
2. For the next 3 rows, SC in each stitch without increases.
3. In the fourth row, SC in the first 10 stitches, then CH 3 and DC around the rest of the bootie to create the ankle cuff.
4. After finishing the row, fold down the cuff for a cozy look.

Step 3: Floral Embellishments

1. Flowers: Make a magic ring, CH 3, 10 DC in the ring, SL ST to close. Change yarn color, CH 2, and SL ST between every DC to create a petal effect.
2. Leaves: CH 8, SC in the second CH from the hook, HDC, DC, DC, HDC, SC, SL ST in the last stitch.
3. Attach the flowers and leaves to the upper part of the booties using the yarn needle.

Finishing: Weave in all loose ends, and your beautiful crochet baby booties are ready!
