Christmas Dog Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

Materials:

• White yarn for the body.
• Black yarn for the ears.
• Red yarn for the scarf and hat.
• Brown and green yarn for the Christmas tree.
• 2.5mm crochet hook.
• Fiberfill stuffing.
• Black safety eyes (6mm).
• Black embroidery thread for nose and smile.
• Keychain ring (optional).
• Yarn needle.

Stitches Used:

• Magic ring (MR)
• Chain (CH)
• Single Crochet (SC)
• Increase (INC)
• Decrease (DEC)
• Slip Stitch (SL ST)

Instructions:

Step 1: Body (White Yarn)

1. Start with a magic ring.
2. Round 1: 6 SC into the magic ring.
3. Round 2: INC in each stitch (12 SC).
4. Round 3: SC, INC around (18 SC).
5. Round 4-6: SC around (18 SC).
6. Round 7: SC, DEC around (12 SC).
7. Round 8: DEC around (6 SC), close and fasten off. Stuff as you go.

Step 2: Head (White Yarn)

1. Repeat the same steps as the body, adding safety eyes between Rounds 4-5.
2. Embroider a black nose and smile on the face.
3. Attach the head to the body.

Step 3: Ears (Black Yarn, Make 2)

1. MR with 6 SC.
2. Round 2: INC in each stitch (12 SC).
3. Round 3-5: SC around (12 SC).
4. Fasten off and sew the ears on both sides of the head.

Step 4: Santa Hat (Red and White Yarn)

1. Begin with red yarn in a MR.
2. Round 1: 6 SC.
3. Round 2: SC, INC (9 SC).
4. Continue increasing until you reach 18 SC.
5. Switch to white yarn for the brim.
6. SC 2 rounds with white yarn.
7. Fasten off and sew the hat to the top of the dog’s head.

Step 5: Christmas Tree (Brown and Green Yarn)

1. Start with brown yarn for the trunk. CH 5, SC back along the chain.
2. Switch to green yarn.
3. SC around in a triangle shape for 4 rows to form the tree shape.
4. Decorate with small red yarn balls (optional) and sew it onto the dog’s paw.

Step 6: Scarf (Red Yarn)

1. CH 20, SL ST in each stitch across.
2. Tie it around the dog’s neck.

Step 7: Attach the Keychain

1. If making a keychain, securely fasten the keychain ring to the top of the Santa hat.
