Chewbacca Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

Materials:

• Brown and beige worsted weight yarn
• Crochet hook size G/4.0mm
• Polyester stuffing
• Safety eyes (10mm)
• Tapestry needle
• Black embroidery thread for facial details
• Brown felt for the bandolier
• White embroidery thread or small felt squares for the bandolier details
• Scissors and stitch markers

Instructions:

1. Head & Body:
   • With brown yarn, make a magic ring.
   • Round 1: 6 single crochets into the magic ring. (6)
   • Round 2: 2 single crochets in each stitch around. (12)
   • Round 3: (1 single crochet, 2 single crochets in the next stitch) around. (18)
   • Continue increasing until you reach 30 stitches.
   • Work even for several rounds, then begin to decrease symmetrically to shape the body.
   • Stuff the body firmly as you go and close off.
2. Arms & Legs:
   • Using brown and beige yarn, create 4 limbs, starting with brown.
   • Round 1: 6 single crochets in a magic ring. (6)
   • Round 2-5: Single crochet around (6).
   • Switch to beige yarn for Chewbacca’s fur tips and crochet until desired length.
   • Stuff lightly and attach to the body.
3. Face & Fur:
   • Attach safety eyes between rounds 6 and 7 of the head.
   • Use brown yarn to create loops or strands to represent Chewbacca’s fur. Loop the yarn around stitches on the head, arms, and body to create a fluffy, textured appearance.
   • Embroider the nose and mouth using black thread.
4. Bandolier:
   • Cut a strip of brown felt to serve as Chewbacca’s bandolier.
   • Use white embroidery thread or small felt squares to create the rectangular details on the bandolier.
   • Attach the bandolier diagonally across Chewbacca’s chest, securing it with a few stitches.
5. Assembly:
   • Sew the head to the body.
   • Attach the arms and legs securely.
   • Make sure all pieces are properly stuffed and attached, and fluff the fur loops for added texture.
