Recipe: Amigurumi Harry Potter

Materials:

• Yarn in black, grey, burgundy, white, and skin tone
• 3.0 mm crochet hook
• Safety eyes (10 mm)
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Yarn needle
• Scissors
• Pipe cleaner (optional, for wand structure)

Instructions:

1. Head:
   • Using skin-tone yarn, create a magic ring.
   • Round 1: 6 SC into the magic ring (6 SC).
   • Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around (12 SC).
   • Round 3: [SC in the next stitch, 2 SC in the next] repeat around (18 SC).
   • Round 4: [SC in the next 2 stitches, 2 SC in the next] repeat around (24 SC).
   • Continue increasing until you reach 36 SC. Work even rounds to form the head shape.
   • Add safety eyes between rounds 9 and 10, approximately 6 stitches apart.
   • Decrease rounds to close and stuff with fiberfill.
2. Body:
   • Start with black yarn for the robe.
   • Round 1: Chain 18, slip stitch to form a circle.
   • Round 2: Work DC in each stitch around for the desired length of the body.
   • Add grey yarn to the bottom for the shirt and continue with SC.
3. Arms and Legs:
   • Crochet in black for the arms and legs, starting with 6 SC in a magic ring, increasing as needed.
   • Attach arms to the body.
4. Scarf:
   • With burgundy yarn, chain 6.
   • Work SC across for about 30 rows.
   • Alternate with white yarn for stripes, and fasten off. Wrap it around the neck.
5. Glasses and Hair:
   • Use black yarn to create small circles for the glasses frames, and stitch them onto the face.
   • For the hair, cut several strands of black yarn, attach them to the top of the head, and trim to style.
6. Wand:
   • Use a pipe cleaner and wrap it with brown yarn, leaving a small section exposed for the handle.
