Amigurumi Giraffe Pattern

Materials:

• Yarn: Yellow (body), brown (spots, hooves, and mane), and white (snout)
• Hook: 3.0 mm crochet hook
• Eyes: 10 mm safety eyes
• Stuffing: Polyester fiberfill
• Extras: Black embroidery thread, stitch marker, yarn needle

Abbreviations:

• MR: Magic ring
• sc: Single crochet
• inc: Increase (2 sc in 1 stitch)
• dec: Decrease (single crochet two stitches together)
• sl st: Slip stitch

Head:

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Round 2: inc in each stitch around. (12)
3. Round 3: (sc, inc) around. (18)
4. Round 4: (2 sc, inc) around. (24)
5. Rounds 5-10: sc around. (24)
6. Round 11: (2 sc, dec) around. (18)
7. Round 12: (sc, dec) around. (12)
8. Stuff the head and fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Body:

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Round 2: inc in each stitch around. (12)
3. Round 3: (sc, inc) around. (18)
4. Round 4: (2 sc, inc) around. (24)
5. Rounds 5-12: sc around. (24)
6. Round 13: (2 sc, dec) around. (18)

8. Stuff the body and fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Legs (Make 4):

4. Stuff lightly and fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Neck:

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Round 2: inc in each stitch around. (12)
3. Rounds 3-10: sc around. (12)
4. Stuff and fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Ears (Make 2):

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Rounds 2-3: sc around. (6)
3. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Horns (Make 2):

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Rounds 2-4: sc around. (6)
3. Stuff lightly and fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Assembly:

1. Attach the neck to the body, then sew the head onto the neck.
2. Sew the legs evenly around the bottom of the body.
3. Attach the ears and horns to the top of the head.
4. Add the safety eyes and embroider the nose and smile.
5. Use brown yarn to create small spots on the body and legs.
