Amigurumi Crochet Bat Pattern

Materials:

• Brown and black yarn (DK or sport weight)
• 10mm safety eyes
• Fiberfill stuffing
• 2.5 mm crochet hook
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Optional: floral accessories or crochet butterflies for decoration

Abbreviations:

• MR: magic ring
• sc: single crochet
• inc: increase (2 sc in the same stitch)
• dec: decrease (single crochet two stitches together)
• sl st: slip stitch
• ch: chain

Head and Body

1. Using brown yarn:
   • Round 1: MR, 6 sc in the ring (6)
   • Round 2: Inc in each stitch (12)
   • Round 3: 1 sc, inc around (18)
   • Round 4: 2 sc, inc around (24)
   • Round 5-8: Sc around (24)
   • Insert safety eyes between rounds 6 and 7.
   • Round 9: 2 sc, dec around (18)
   • Round 10: 1 sc, dec around (12)
   • Round 11: Dec around (6), fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
   • Stuff the head and body with fiberfill.

Ears (Make 2)

1. Using brown yarn:
   • Round 1: MR, 6 sc in the ring (6)
   • Round 2: Inc in each stitch (12)
   • Round 3-5: Sc around (12)
   • Round 6: 1 sc, dec around (8)
   • Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Wings (Make 2)

1. Using black yarn:
   • Row 1: Ch 10, sc in the second ch from the hook, sc across (9)
   • Row 2: Turn, sc in the first 8 stitches, inc in the last stitch (10)
   • Row 3: Turn, sc in the first 9 stitches, inc in the last stitch (11)
   • Row 4: Turn, sc in each stitch across (11)
   • Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Legs (Make 2)

1. Using brown yarn:
   • Round 1: MR, 6 sc in the ring (6)
   • Round 2-4: Sc around (6)
   • Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Assembly

1. Sew the ears to the top of the head.
2. Attach the wings to either side of the body.
3. Sew the legs to the bottom of the body.
4. Embroider the nose and small details using black thread.
5. Add optional floral decorations or crochet butterflies to complete the look.
