Recipe: Amigurumi Cat with Gift Box Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Yarn in white, gray, pink, and any accent colors of your choice
• Crochet hook (2.5mm or suitable for your yarn)
• Fiberfill for stuffing
• Safety eyes (10mm)
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch marker
• Small pearl or bead for decoration

Instructions:

Cat Body:

1. With white yarn:
   • Round 1: Make a magic ring, 6 SC in the ring.
   • Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch (12).
   • Round 3: (1 SC, inc) around (18).
   • Continue increasing evenly until you reach 36 stitches.
   • Work even for 8 rounds. Start decreasing evenly until 6 stitches remain. Stuff as you go.

Head:
2. Follow the same pattern as the body but slightly larger (up to 48 stitches). Attach safety eyes and embroider the nose. Stuff and close.

Ears (Make 2):
3. With gray yarn:

• Chain 2, work 6 SC in the 2nd chain.
• Work 2 SC in each stitch for 2 rounds.
• Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Tail:
4. With gray yarn:

• Chain 12, SC in each chain.
• Roll into a tube and sew shut.

Gift Box:
5. With pink yarn:

• Chain 10, work in rows of SC to create a 10×10 square. Repeat to make six squares.
• Sew squares together to form a cube.
• Add a bow using pink yarn, crocheting two small loops and sewing them on top.

Assembly:
6. Attach the head, ears, tail, and decorate the body with the bow. Position the gift box in the cat’s hands and sew in place.
