Materials:

• Yarn: Worsted weight cotton yarn in pastel colors (e.g., pink, yellow, blue)
• Hook: 4.0 mm crochet hook
• Stitch marker
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Abbreviations:

• MR: Magic ring
• sc: Single crochet
• inc: Increase (2 sc in the same stitch)
• sl st: Slip stitch
• ch: Chain

Instructions:

Base of the Basket:

1. Round 1: MR, 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Round 2: Inc in each stitch around. (12)
3. Round 3: [1 sc, inc] repeat around. (18)
4. Round 4: [2 sc, inc] repeat around. (24)
5. Round 5: [3 sc, inc] repeat around. (30)
6. Round 6: [4 sc, inc] repeat around. (36)
   • Continue increasing for the desired base size.

Sides of the Basket:

1. Round 1: Work in the back loop only (BLO), sc in each stitch around. (36)
2. Rounds 2-8: Sc in each stitch around. (36)

Decorative Edge:
