Amigurumi Christmas Tree Keychain: A Festive Crochet Project

Recipe:

Materials:

• Green yarn (for tree)
• Brown yarn (for tree trunk)
• Yellow yarn (for star)
• 2.5mm crochet hook
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Keychain ring
• Yarn needle
• Scissors
• Small beads or sequins (for decoration)

Pattern:

Step 1: Tree

1. With green yarn, make a magic ring.
2. Round 1: 6 SC into the ring. (6)
3. Round 2: Inc in each stitch around. (12)
4. Round 3: (SC, Inc) around. (18)
5. Round 4: SC around.
6. Round 5: (SC 2, Inc) around. (24)
7. Round 6-9: SC around.
8. Start stuffing the tree with fiberfill as you continue.
9. Round 10: (SC 2, Dec) around. (18)
10. Round 11: (SC, Dec) around. (12)
11. Round 12: Dec around. (6)
12. Fasten off and close the top.

Step 2: Tree Trunk

1. With brown yarn, chain 6.
2. SC in the second chain from hook, SC across (5).
3. Continue to SC for 4 rows to form a rectangle.
4. Sew the trunk to the bottom of the tree.

Step 3: Star

1. With yellow yarn, chain 3.
2. Slip stitch into the first chain to form a loop.
3. Chain 2, and slip stitch again. Repeat 4 more times to form a star.
4. Fasten off and sew the star to the top of the tree.

Step 4: Assembly

1. Attach the tree to the keychain ring.
2. Decorate the tree with small beads or sequins to represent ornaments.
3. Weave in any loose ends.
